RANDOLPH, NJ – It is not surprising that buying or selling a home is considered one of the most stressful processes that people go through. After all, that typically deals with one’s most valuable asset. When going through this process, it is critical to be able to rely on a professional who is honest, knowledgeable about housing, and is very skilled in navigating all aspects of the real estate industry.

Doug Collinson of Keller Williams Metropolitan, and principal of the Doug Collinson Real Estate Group, certainly fits that description. As a lifelong resident of Randolph and a graduate of Randolph High School, his knowledge of the area, the schools, and everything the town has to offer, is second to none.

What makes Collinson truly unique in the real estate industry is that he has operated a successful residential home building company for more than 20 years.

In 2010, the housing market was in one of its worst downturns in history. Collinson recognized the real estate market had a strong need for professionals that were knowledgeable about the real estate buying and selling process, as well as home construction. Not just agents that needed to make a sale.

“I was seeing people buying and selling homes with real estate agents that were not truly committed to providing exceptional customer service, and were not as knowledgeable as they needed to be to properly represent their clients,” said Collinson. “I felt that becoming a full-time realtor was a great way to help people in the same local community where I grew up and still live.”

Collinson and his wife Dina still live in Randolph with their two daughters, Ashley and Grace.

“I love the town of Randolph. It was a great town to grow up in,” said Collinson. “I want to share those same experiences not only with my children, but other families who are looking to move here and raise families of their own.”

To date, Collinson has been fortunate enough to help over 225 families meet their real estate goals and complete successful transactions. It is his tireless efforts and constant determination to “always exceed” his client’s expectations that has helped fuel his success. Coupled with his extensive knowledge of construction and housing, Collinson can offer a truly unique and unsurpassed experience to the home buying or selling process.

While Collinson has won countless awards and has been recognized by the New Jersey Association of Realtor’s Circle of Excellence for seven consecutive years, that is not how he gauges success.

“It is nice to receive recognition and awards,” said Collinson.  “However, the truest sense of accomplishment is when I run into a client on the sports field, or around town, and they say how happy they are in their new Randolph home.”

Collinson truly feels that he is able to give back to the clients and community that have helped make him what he is today.
